The Hispanic Opportunity

Chris Avila will discuss the Hispanic consumer and business opportunities in Middle TN.  

Since October 2023, Chris Avila has served as the Spanish Media Sales Director for Telemundo Tennessee in Nashville. He leverages over 20 years of experience to drive B2C and B2B in Marketing and sales, fostering brand awareness across TV, Radio, Streaming, and Digital platforms within the General and Hispanic Markets.

A graduate of the University of Guanajuato in Mexico with a Bachelor's degree in International Trade (2002), Chris's career began in Winston-Salem, NC, at Que Pasa Media, the largest Hispanic Media Company in the state. He has since held positions with leading media organizations, including ABC, Fox, NBC, and Telemundo.

Demonstrating a commitment to community service, Chris has actively participated on various boards throughout his career. These include The Hispanic League of the Piedmont Triad, the United States Tennis Association in North Carolina, NC Stop Human Traffic, and the Hispanic Public Relations Association NC Chapter. Notably, he was recognized by the USTA with the Educational Merit Award in 2006.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Chris enjoys playing tennis and traveling. He also maintains a strong passion for volunteering with organizations that advocate for Education, Sports, and Animal Rights.
